Drew Spangler
Mr. Spangler is the head of the International Active Division. In addition, he is the portfolio manager responsible for Canada and shares responsibility for the management of the U.S. equity portion of the Global Active Equity Fund, LP. He joined GMO in 1993 following the completion of a B.S. in Systems Science and Mathematics at Washington University in St. Louis. Mr. Spangler is a CFA charterholder.



Federico Berruto
Dr. Berruto is a quantitative research analyst for the International Active Division. Prior to joining GMO in 2006, he worked as a quantitative analyst for DPM Mellon. Previously he held research associate positions at Brookhaven National Laboratory and at Boston University. Dr. Berruto earned his M.S. from the University of Torino and his Ph.D. from the University of Perugia.



James Chapman
Mr. Chapman is an International Active portfolio manager working on the United Kingdom and Ireland. Prior to joining GMO in 2009, he worked at Credit Suisse Asset Management in London as a lead portfolio manager. Previously, he was an equity analyst at Hardman & Co. Mr. Chapman earned his B.A. from the University of East Anglia, Norwich, and a post-graduate degree in Law from the University of West of England. He is a CFA charterholder.



André Clapp
Dr. Clapp is the portfolio manager for the Nordic countries, the Netherlands, Belgium, Russia and Eastern Europe, within the International Active Division. Prior to joining GMO in 1997, he was a post-doctoral researcher at the California Institute of Technology. Dr. Clapp earned a B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California at Berkeley. He is a CFA charterholder.



Domenic Esposito
Mr. Esposito is the portfolio manager for Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and Austria within the International Active Division. He joined GMO in 1991 and from 1993 to 1997 he was a member of the GMO Emerging Division. Mr. Esposito earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University and he is a CFA charterholder.



Eric Ikauniks
Mr. Ikauniks is the portfolio manager for Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, China, and Southeast Asia within the International Active Division. Prior to joining GMO in 2003, he worked at J.P. Morgan Securities in the Hong Kong equity research department. Before that, he was a portfolio manager at Prudential Portfolio Managers Asia based in both Hong Kong and Singapore. Mr. Ikauniks earned his B.A. in International Politics & Economics from Middlebury College.



Jay Lyons
Mr. Lyons is responsible for trading and process oversight for the International Active Division. Prior to joining GMO in 2004, he worked at State Street Corporation as a vice president in their mutual fund services department. Previously, he held positions at Scudder, Stevens, and Clark, Inc. in their fund control department, and The Boston Company Advisors, Inc. Mr. Lyons earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Merrimack College.



Neeraj Mahajan
Mr. Mahajan is a research analyst for the International Active Division. Prior to joining GMO in 2009, he was a credit analyst for Hartford Investment Management Company. Previously, Mr. Mahajan was a quantitative analyst at Fortis Investments. Prior to this he worked at Fidelity investments. Mr. Mahajan earned his Bachelor of Technology from Pondicherry University in India and his M.S. in Investment Management from Boston University. He also earned his M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and he is a CFA charterholder.



Richard Mattione
Dr. Mattione is the portfolio manager responsible for macroeconomic research in addition to International Active’s equity investments in Latin America and Japan. Prior to joining GMO in 1994, he worked as an economist and market strategist at J.P. Morgan & Co. in Tokyo and New York. Previously, he was a research associate in foreign policy studies at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C. Dr. Mattione earned his B.S. in Systems Science and Mathematics from Washington University and his Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University.



Tiverton McClintock
Ms. McClintock is a member of GMO’s International Active Division. She joined GMO following the completion of her B.A. in Economics from Wellesley College. Ms. McClintock is a CFA charterholder.



John O'Callaghan
Mr. O’Callaghan is a portfolio strategist for GMO’s International Active division. Prior to joining GMO in 2009, he was a managing director for Oechsle International Advisors, LLC. Previously, he was a senior vice president for Putnam Investments. Mr. O’Callaghan earned his B.A.I. and his M.A. in Computer Engineering from the University of Dublin, Trinity College. He is a CFA charterholder.



Subash Pereira
Mr. Pereira, is the portfolio manager focusing on Korea, Taiwan, and India and shares responsibility for the management of the U.S. equity portion of the Global Active Equity Fund, LP. Prior to joining GMO in 1997, he worked at the First National Bank of Commerce in New Orleans. Mr. Pereira received his B.S. in Mathematics from Bombay University and an M.S. in Personnel Management and an M.B.A. from Tulane. He is a CFA charterholder.



Toby Rodes
Mr. Rodes is the portfolio manager for International Active’s equity investments in Japan. Prior to joining GMO in 2005, he worked in equity research for both Nikko Salomon Smith Barney and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson Asia based in Japan. Previously, he worked at Dewey Ballantine as a trade specialist and Keio University in Japan as a visiting scholar. Mr. Rodes earned his B.A. in History from Haverford College and his Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University.



Philippe Rolland
Mr. Rolland manages France, Spain, Portugal, and Greece for the International Active Division. He joined GMO in 1997. Mr. Rolland graduated from the Paris Business School (ISC) and completed a Master’s Degree in International Business at the University of Normandy.



Greg Shell
Mr. Shell is a portfolio manager sharing responsibility for International Active’s management of the U.S. equity portion of the Global Active Equity Fund, LP. Prior to joining GMO in 2009, he was a senior analyst at Columbia Management. Previously, Mr. Shell was a consultant in the private equity group at Bain & Company, Inc. He earned his B.S. in Political Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
