 | Marc Mayer
Mr. Mayer is the Chief Executive Officer of GMO and a member of the GMO Board. He joined GMO in 2009 after 20 years at AllianceBernstein L.P. and its predecessor firm, Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., Inc. He was a member of the Bernstein Board of Directors. Beginning as an analyst, Mr. Mayer went on to be a research director, head of the institutional research business, head of institutional investments, head of retail investments and president and a director of the mutual funds, and CIO of asset allocation. Following a stint as a concert and record producer, he began his professional career in earnest at Squibb Corporation in strategic planning and marketing. Mr. Mayer has a B.A. in Philosophy from Yale and an M.B.A from Columbia Business School. |
