Jeremy Grantham
Mr. Grantham co-founded GMO in 1977. Prior to GMO’s founding, Mr. Grantham was co-founder of Batterymarch Financial Management in 1969 where he recommended commercial indexing in 1971, one of several claims to being first. He began his investment career as an economist with Royal Dutch Shell. Mr. Grantham serves as GMO’s Chairman and is an active member of GMO’s asset allocation division. He has also served on investment boards of several non-profit organizations. Mr. Grantham has been featured in Forbes, Barron’s and Business Week and is routinely quoted by the financial press. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Sheffield (U.K.) and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.


Chris Darnell
Mr. Darnell, a member of the GMO Board, manages GMO’s quantitative research effort and leads the Algorithmic Trading group, which he started in 2003. He joined GMO following the completion of the M.B.A. program at Harvard Business School. Mr. Darnell earned his undergraduate degree at Yale University.


Arjun Divecha
Mr. Divecha, based in Berkeley, California, is Vice Chairman of the GMO Board and is responsible for overseeing the team managing the GMO Emerging Markets Strategy, GMO Emerging Countries Strategy and the GMO Emerging Illiquid Strategy. Prior to his affiliation with GMO in 1993, he spent 12 years at BARRA directing software development, marketing, client service and emerging markets research and development. Mr. Divecha holds a Bachelor of Technology in Aeronautical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and an M.B.A. in Finance from Cornell University.


Jon Hagler
Mr. Hagler, a member of the GMO Board, currently serves GMO in a variety of business and strategy issues. Prior to joining GMO, he worked in the investment industry as an analyst, portfolio manager and leader of several organizations. Mr. Hagler earned his B.S. from Texas A&M University and an M.B.A. from Harvard University. He is a CFA charterholder.


Bevis Longstreth
Mr. Longstreth serves as a member of the GMO Board and chairs its Risk and Audit Committee. He is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School. From 1981 to 1984 he served as a Commissioner of the Securities and Exchange Commission. His legal career was at Debevoise & Plimpton. In 1993, he retired from that firm to teach at Columbia Law School. He is a member of the Standing Advisory Group of the Public Company Audit Oversight Board.


Marc Mayer
Mr. Mayer is GMO’s Chief Executive Officer and a member of the GMO Board. He joined GMO in 2009 after 20 years at AllianceBernstein LP and its predecessor firm, Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., Inc. He was a member of the Bernstein Board of Directors. Beginning as an analyst, Mr. Mayer went on to be a director of research, head of the sell-side, head of institutional investments, head of retail investments and president of the mutual funds, and most recently, CIO of asset allocation. He began his professional career in earnest at Squibb Corporation in strategic planning and marketing. Mr. Mayer has a B.A. in Philosophy from Yale and an M.B.A from Columbia Business School.


John Rosenblum
Dr. Rosenblum is a member of the GMO Board. Previously, he was the dean of Jepson School of Leadership Studies at the University of Richmond. Prior to that, he taught at the Harvard Business School and was dean of the Darden School at the University of Virginia. Dr. Rosenblum earned his A.B. in Mathematics and Economics from Brown University and his M.B.A. and D.B.A. from Harvard University.


Eyk Van Otterloo
Mr. Van Otterloo is a member of the GMO Board. Prior to GMO’s founding in 1977, Mr. Van Otterloo served as director of common stock investments and research at Phoenix Mutual Life Insurance Company. Before joining Phoenix Mutual, he served as fund manager and associate director of research and analysis at Keystone Custodian Funds. Mr. Van Otterloo studied economics at Amsterdam Municipal University (Netherlands) and earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
