Grant's Interest Rate Observer, March 11, 2005 In late March 2003, Arjun Divecha advised that Thailand was attractive and one way to play it for U.S. investors was to buy the Thai Fund (TTF). He later noted GMO's model had turned negative on Thailand and that investors should take profits on TTF. On March 8, the Thai Fund closed at $10.81 a share. Between Divecha's 2003 "buy" signal and his current "sell," it generated 66% in total return, including dividends. So who better to lead a grand tour of emerging markets than Divecha himself? Global Investor,* February 18, 2005 The online edition of Global Investor reports that GMO was named the winner of the magazine's 'Awards for Investment Excellence' in the two categories for which the firm had been nominated: emerging markets equities and quant equities ("GMO triumphs with double win at GI Awards," by Nick Fitzpatrick).
